2017 CDBG Awards Named!

Congratulations to our 2017 Community Development Block Grant Award Winners!

Governor Nathan Deal announced the communities receiving grants from the Department of Community Affairs to help their areas in need.  The following communities were awarded over $4,300,000 in CDBG funds:

  • City of Dexter:  The City o f Dexter proposes to use $420,700 in CDBG funds to improve their water pollution control plant.
  • City of Glennville:  The City of Glennville proposes to use $750,000 in CDBG funds for sewerage system improvements.
  • City of Hogansville:  The City of Hogansville proposes to use $637,900 in CDBG funds for water and sewerage system improvements.
  • City of Milledgeville:  The City of Milledgeville proposes to use $678,277 in CDBG funds for sewerage system improvements.
  • City of Talbotton:  The City of Talbotton proposes to use $500,000 in CDBG funds for sewerage system improvements.
  • City of Warrenton:  The City of Warrenton proposes to use $750,000  in CDBG funds for sewerage system improvements.
  • City of Wrens:  The City of Wrens proposes to use $585,522  in CDBG funds for sewerage system improvements.
